Ever since early humans walked the Earth they have created art to decorate their environment, to communicate and to adorn themselves. At Between The Trees, we have art workshops for all ages, including creating natural ephemeral land art and creative pieces, watercolours and sketching.
We usually have 2 or 3 artists in residence during the festival weekend, who hold inspiring watercolour, printing and sketching workshops sessions.
Below, Abi Eleri inspiring festival goers to learn “wet into wet” watercolor techniques and how salt interacts with the medium to create texture and starry like skies.
The brilliant Creative Arts team make art accessible for all ages. Using natural flora and resources found around the festival site, they create stunning mandalas, floral head-dresses and adorable little wooden creatures and flowers. Other activities include; pottery, pebble painting, wood working, basket and leather work and woodland bushcraft skills.
Well-being & mindfulness
The Pagoda Well-being area provides a unique, quiet and peaceful space away from the central festival site. This leafy glade is a perfect site for relaxation and meditation. We have experts to guided all abilities through Yoga and Qigong* sessions, making this a wonderful mindful experience in this magical woodland environment.
You can join a mindful walk session, where you will be guided through the quiet areas of the 100 acre festival woodland site and reconnect and experience forest bathing. And if you really are in need of relaxation, then there is always the opportunity to book a massage.
*Qigong, is a centuries-old system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial-arts training.
