Between The Trees “…it’s such a magical place”

A safe haven for children – where they can explore, learn, create and express themselves freely.

“It’s such a beautiful thing, to watch children become immersed in nature, forget their screens, and enjoy the freedom of the outdoors”.

The Fforest Stage – “where the night-time magic happens!“. Performers and attendees, love the “intimate” night-time atmosphere, the whole festival morphs into a whole different vibe as evening falls.

Between The Trees takes place in an amazing coastal, woodland setting with hidden barns and secret meeting places. The trees were planted over 200 years ago to stop the advancing sands, which were being blown inland from the vast coastal dune complex, and to shelter the inland farm land and village from the prevailing coastal winds. So its cosy!

Not many festivals can boast that they have a “secret beach”. Just a short walk, through a nature reserve, on sandy tracks, over dunes (one being the biggest in the UK), is Merthyr Mawr beach, a long, sandy stretch of secluded beach with wide-open views. There’s also a beautiful river near by whcih meanders into the sea, where people can go cold water dipping.
